Marion Jones Admits To Using Steroids

Olympic gold-medalist Marion Jones has admitted to using “the clear” beginning in 1999. Her ex-husband C.J. Hunter was also involved in steroid use, which was discovered during the BALCO scandal. Sprint superstar Marion Jones, who has dodged doping allegations for years, has admitted using steroids before the 2000 Olympics. Marion Jones is an American athlete of half Belizean and half African American descent. The former track star Marion Jones, one of the most accomplished female athletes in the world, is expected to plead guilty today to lying to federal agents about her use of steroids, two attorneys connected with the case said Thursday. Ms. Marion Jones, 31, who won a record five medals in 2000, including three golds, would become the first athlete convicted in the cases arising out of the four-year Bay Area Laboratory Co-operative investigation that has sparked an ongoing series of steroid scandals in sports.

Despite her use of steroids, she should not be stripped of her medals. However, she should be banned from competition. Afterall, steroids or not, it took her hardwork to win the medal. You can go watch her races. Steroids or not, the amount of training put in is still phenomenal and she should keep the medal. http://www.snupped.com/marion-jones/
